City of Dallas - Rescinds Commercial Alarm Ordinance. By a vote of 11-4, the Dallas city council rescinded the commercial alarm ordinance referred to as "VR". The new ordinance will go in to effect October 1, 2007.

Texas State Fire Marshal announces Fire Alarm Rule Changes. Please be advised that the commissioner of Insurance, through the State Fire Marshal, has amended the Fire Alarm Rules, based in recommendations from the Fire Alarm Advisory Council. The new rules will take effect April 1, 2006.
