City of Dallas - Rescinds Commercial Alarm Ordinance.
By a vote of 11-4, the Dallas city council rescinded the commercial
alarm ordinance referred to as "VR". The new ordinance will go in to
effect October 1, 2007.

The new alarm ordinance requires all new and replaced alarm systems in
the town of Highland Park to incorporate a Fire Alarm system that
meets the standards as defined by the State Fire Marshal and the AHJ.

Texas State Fire Marshal announces Fire Alarm Rule
Changes. Please be advised that the commissioner of Insurance,
through the State Fire Marshal, has amended the Fire Alarm Rules,
based in recommendations from the Fire Alarm Advisory Council. The new
rules will take effect April 1, 2006. At the time, a complete comply of
